Micromax has introduced Funbook Pro, successor of the Funbook that launched in April. It is now available in India exclusively from online retailer Gadget World . Mercury launches mTab Rio tablet for Rs 11,999

Mercury has launched a new tablet in the mTab range. Previously, the company has come out with a couple of tablets in this series. The recent one, mTab Rio runs on the Android 4.0 ICS operating system. Mtab Neo2 that was launched in April was based on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is upgradeable to ICS.
Previously, Mercury tablets failed to deliver good display quality but now the brand has ensured better quality. The mTab Neo2 had a 7 inch screen while the new one has a 9.7 inch screen with the IPS technology.
The IPS display technology offers accurate and consistent color from all the viewing angles. This is better than the traditional LCD screens that offer partial true color. The 9.7 inch display with the IPS technology will surely offer vivid, splendid and clear display.

Reliance 3G Tab V9A is the new buzz in town. This 1.4GHz powered android tablet will come with a high resolution display and with dual cameras. This 3G Tab will be better than its predecessor theThe Reliance 3G Tab V9A sports a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen with 1024×600 pixels resolution. This is a better than the traditional 800×480 pixels resolution. A dual camera is an added advantage especially the 3MP on the rear side and the usual front camera (VGA). I believe the 3MP camera will be of fixed focus.3G is built in via SIM slot and probably like the first 3G tab this one could also be locked on to the Reliance network (You cannot use any other SIM card). This New Reliance 3G tab supports HSDPA (14.4Mbps) and HSUPA (5.7Mbp). Other features are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Compass, Gsensor and even a built in FM radio. You can use it for making voice or video calls – just like a mobile phone.

Furthermore we do not know if it can be upgraded to ICS. Add to it the tab is locked to Reliance network plus it’s with just 4GB internal storage. If you compare this with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, the tab 2 is a clear winner, if you can spend 4K extra. An 8GB Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 might compete very closely with the new Reliance tab, i.e when it is launched.
